Kaya Gravitter was born and raised in Northern Wisconsin. She is a writer, poet, and artist. Kaya has articles published in The Huffington Post, Yahoo News, and several other media outlets. She received a BA with a double major in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, where she was the editor-in-chief for the diversity newsletter and campus blog.

Kaya has published the Women’s Fiction Novel After She Said Yes, a Poetry book, Fragments of the Heart, and several articles. Kaya does not use a paintbrush when she paints. She does a special type of painting, which involves an art paint mixing spatula. So, her art is primarily textured and abstract.

Kaya has a series of artwork focused on Missing Murdered and Indigenous Women.
